Mayor's Message

AugustIt has been a very busy summer for our city with the many major projects underway. Our street project on Homestead Boulevard and Main Street is going on as scheduled. As I write this, most of the excavation is complete. We did have some unexpected situations like hitting a coal seam that had to be removed and then hitting water in an unexpected location. I guess we should expect coal, after all, this is Colstrip.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to our residents for their patience in driving and driving safely through the construction area. Also, most certainly all of the businesses that are impacted by the construction. We are all doing the best we can to make this a successful project. Paving is scheduled to occur the week of August 22nd with completion to occur the first part of September.
