Section 3. That section 5-4-1 Nuisance Animals B. is amended to include:

3. Animals Running at Large

It shall be unlawful for any person to allow any domestic animal or livestock to run at large within the Colstrip City Limits at any time.

Section 4. That section 8-3-3 B. of the Colstrip City Code is amended to read:

8-3-3

B. Animals:

1. Dogs, cats are allowed in all residential districts. Hens are allowed by conditional use permit in the R-1, R-4, M-U and M-H districts.

2. The commercial breeding, care, raising or keeping of any animal is prohibited in residential districts.

3. “Livestock”, as defined in section 8-2-2 of this title shall not be maintained in any district within the corporate limits of Colstrip, except that livestock are permitted in the R-3 residential district for personal, non-commercial use.
4. All livestock is to be appropriately fenced or confined to the owner’s property. It shall be unlawful for any animal or property owner to allow animals to run at large within the city limits.



Section 5. That section 8-2-2 of the Colstrip City Code is amended to read:

8-2-2

LIVESTOCK: Animals such as horses, cattle, sheep and all other animals generally considered to be livestock or farm animals.




Section 6. Section 8-5-3 of the Colstrip City Code as listed below is omitted:
